Princess Victoria Musa Ujah Honoured as Matron of Anya-Okpoma Women Amidst Carnival-like Celebration

*Okpoma, June 28 – In what can best be described as a carnival of unity and honour, the ancient town of Okpoma in Yala Local Government Area was agog with celebration as women from all 17 political wards under the umbrella of Anya-Okpoma gathered in their numbers to honour Princess Victoria Musa Ujah (née Offoboche) as their newly appointed Matron.

The event, which took place in the early hours of Friday, June 28, drew a mammoth crowd to the residence of Princess Ujah. The gathering included not only the women of Anya-Okpoma but also friends, community stakeholders, political leaders, and well-wishers from far and wide who came to witness her official unveiling and decoration.

The group, led by Mrs. Ofie Ukpor, expressed overwhelming joy and gratitude for the philanthropist’s enduring passion and relentless commitment to the betterment of Okpoma and its people. “Princess Victoria Offoboche’s selfless dedication, unwavering support, and generosity have made a profound impact in the lives of many,” Ukpor stated. “This recognition is a testament to her exceptional character and tireless efforts to uplift and inspire others. We are ready to win and lose with her.”

In a heartfelt response, Princess Victoria Musa Ujah expressed deep appreciation for the honour bestowed upon her. She reaffirmed her commitment to the group’s vision and pledged to mentor, guide, and support Anya-Okpoma women towards community development and empowerment. In a surprising but welcomed announcement, she revealed that she had already completed the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) registration of the group — a move aimed at positioning them for government and NGO support. She presented the CAC certificate to the women amid cheers of excitement and encouragement.

“This is not just a recognition, it is a call to action,” Princess Ujah said. “Together, we will build a stronger Okpoma, and I urge you to remain steadfast, focused, and united in your goals.”

The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including:

Chief Sylvester Edrah Odey, ChiefMichael Egbanabor, Engineer Cosmas Ekawu

In a rare show of solidarity and communal support, people from all walks of life, the high and the humble, filled the residence, reflecting the deep affection and respect Princess Victoria commands across societal divides.
