The adopted son of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police, CP Olatunji Disu, identified as Adam, is set to be laid to rest today, Wednesday, in Abuja.
According to family sources, the funeral prayer (Janaza) will be held at the National Mosque at 1 PM, following the Zuhr prayer. Adam will then be buried at the Gudu Cemetery in accordance with Islamic rites.
Adam, who was raised by CP Disu from the age of two, tragically passed away in a car accident on Monday. He was 33 years old and had recently completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program in 2023.
Sources revealed that Adam was driving alone in a BMW when the vehicle lost control, entered a ditch, and rolled over, ultimately catching fire. The fatal accident has left the family and close associates heartbroken.
CP Disu, who recently assumed leadership of the FCT Police Command, has received an outpouring of condolences from friends, colleagues, and the public following the tragic news.
The Commissioner had earlier on Monday visited CSP A.A. Sambo, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ushafa Division, to offer condolences over the loss of Sambo’s son. During the visit, CP Disu extended heartfelt sympathies and assured the grieving family of the Command’s unwavering support during their time of sorrow.
The loss of Adam has been described as devastating for the Disu family, with many remembering his bright future and contributions to society.
