A graduate of English from the University of Lagos, Kayode Peters began his journey in the entertainment industry in the year 2000, shortly after graduation, with the production of The Twilight Zone. Over the years, he carved a unique niche for himself in Nigeria’s film and television industry.
He rose to prominence through projects such as My Flatmates on Africa Magic, the classic comedy series Papa Ajasco & Company, and several hit sitcoms and stage plays, including Extended Family. He also directed and produced blockbuster films like Crazy Grannies and Dream Job, both released in 2021.
Peters made his mark internationally in 2018 with the production of Excuse My African in New York City, further solidifying his reputation as a cross-continental creative force. His 2015 work, Doll House, remains a reference point in Nigeria’s theatre scene.
Widely acknowledged as a trailblazer in contemporary Nigerian entertainment, Peters influenced the careers of many actors and comedians, and was deeply respected for his contributions to stagecraft and television drama.
