Honourable Godwin Ogar Wonah, fondly known as Goddy Brass, was laid to rest today in his hometown of Ijegu-Yala, Cross River State, following a solemn Requiem Mass at St. Paul Catholic Church.

Known for his integrity, compassion, and a life marked by honour and service, Hon. Goddy Brass was deeply loved and respected by all who knew him. Friends and family, whose lives he touched in various ways, came together to bid him farewell.

In his homily, the officiating priest, Rev. Fr. John Ijakpa, urged the congregation to embrace kindness and empathy in a world where such virtues are increasingly scarce. He praised the late Hon. Brass for exemplifying values that are worthy of emulation and living a life committed to the welfare of others.
The priest extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the Ijegu-Yala community, and the entire Yala nation, noting that the passing of Goddy Brass is a great loss to all who cherish goodness and humanity.
