EFCC Insider: We Arrested Verydarkman for Using Social Media to Insult and Intimidate People

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has finally broken its silence regarding the arrest of controversial media activist, Verydarkman. According to an insider source within the Commission, the arrest was prompted by multiple complaints concerning his alleged misuse of social media.

The EFCC source, who spoke under condition of anonymity, disclosed that the activist was apprehended due to repeated allegations that he harassed, insulted, and intimidated individuals using his social media platforms.

“We picked him up based on several complaints that he used his social media platforms to harass, insult, and intimidate individuals — actions that may contravene the Cybercrimes Act of 2015,” the insider revealed.
