Abuja, August 24, 2024 — In a ceremony held at the ICC NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja, Governor Prince Bassey Otu of Cross River State was honored with the prestigious “Best Security Conscious Governor of the Year 2024” award during the 17th International Security Conference & Awards. The award was presented by the International Institute of Professional Security (IIPS) in recognition of the governor’s outstanding contributions to enhancing security across the state.
The award was received on behalf of Governor Otu by the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Elbert Ayambem. Speaker Ayambem, who has been a key figure in supporting the governor’s security initiatives, he was accompanied by Mr Francis Ekpo, Director General, REA. The presence of these prominent lawmaker underscored the solidarity within the Cross River State government in advancing security measures to protect lives and property.
