CRO Ojiho Engages with Non-Indigenous Residents of Yala 1 State Constituency

In a landmark tour and interface session, the Community Relations Officer (CRO) of Yala 1 State Constituency, Hon. Sunday Ojiho, engaged with non-indigenous residents residing in Yala 1, Cross River State. This gathering underscored the harmonious relationships and long-standing peace that have been a hallmark of the constituency.

During the session, representatives from various ethnic groups including Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Bekwarra, Obudu, and Obanliku were in attendance. They collectively commended Hon. Ojiho for his appointment and expressed their gratitude for the peace and unity they enjoy within the community.

The non-indigenous representatives highlighted two significant concerns during their interaction with the CRO. They humbly requested that Hon. Ojiho communicate the urgent need to complete the Okpoma – Okuku road to the state government. They also stressed the untapped commercial potential of the region’s salt mining industry, urging for its exploration and development.

In response, Hon. Ojiho expressed his appreciation for their support and assured them of his commitment to convey their messages to the Governor of Cross River State, HE Senator Bassey Otu. He emphasized the importance of infrastructure development and economic opportunities in enhancing the quality of life for all residents. Hon. Ojiho pledged that actions would be taken to address their concerns.
