The federal government has raised the offer of a new national minimum salary to N62,000. Organised labour has also dropped their demand from N494,000 to N250,000.
The Tripartite Committee on the New National Minimum Wage has already adjourned because no agreement was reached at the meeting.
The organised private sector also supported the government’s offer of N62,000.#Remember that organised labour rejected the N60,000 proposal and went on strike statewide on Monday.
The protest was, however, stopped on Tuesday when the Federal Government vowed to raise the minimum wage to more than N60,000 as negotiations resumed.
