On Friday, the Organised Labour walked out of the government’s Tripartite Committee meeting on the new national minimum wage. They exited the meeting because the government was unable to make a new offer that exceeded N60,000.

the conference, discussions stalled when the government and organised private sector refused to accept the N60,000 offer. Meanwhile, organised labour has arranged to address the press by 4 p.m. today.
Remember that on Tuesday, talks between the Federal Government and Organised Labour broke down when the government and the Organised Private Sector (OPS) boosted their proposals to N60,000. While leaving the meeting, the Labour union condemned the idea as “insulting”.
