Tinubu To Sack His Ministers

President Bola Tinubu has stated that he is willing to fire ministers who are not performing adequately.

This was revealed by his media adviser, Bayo Onanuga, in an interview with Punch Newspaper on Sunday. He stated that while the President has yet to decide on the ministers’ performance, he has directed them to meet the administration’s eight-point programme, warning that those who fail to meet expectations will be sacked.

Onanuga also gave the administration a 70 percent performance rating as it approaches its first year in office.

He pointed out that under President Tinubu’s leadership, Nigeria was initially spending 97% of its revenue on debt servicing and borrowing for recurring expenses like salaries.

He emphasised that the administration avoided economic collapse by taking strong decisions such as eliminating gasoline subsidies and harmonising the currency rate.
