Iran Gets New President After Raisi’s Demise

The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has appointed Vice President Mohammad Mokhber as the country’s acting president, effective immediately.

Following Raisi’s death.Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian were among those killed in a helicopter crash in northern Iran’s East Azerbaijan region, prompting Khamenei to declare five days of national mourning.

Kluemedia reported that the crash, which occurred on Sunday, killed all nine passengers on board, including a provincial governor. According to officials, new presidential elections will take place within 50 days, as required by the Iranian constitution.

The entire community has expressed its condolences, with world and regional leaders expressing their sadness and astonishment at the tragic deaths of President Raisi and Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian.

Meanwhile, on Monday, an Israeli official stated that Israel had no involvement in the chopper crash. “It wasn’t us,” the official informed Reuters.
