Vigilante foils bomb attack as man strapped with explosives arrives at bank

A middle-aged guy was discovered in an unnamed bank in Dadin Kowa Town, Jos South, Plateau State, carrying belts packed with a Person Borne Improvised Explosive Device (SPBIED).

According to Zagazola, Vigilante security detected the guy with a bomb strapped to his body and captured him before he could carry out his plan on Monday, May 13, 2024.

The suspect was instantly surrounded by an enraged mob that was ready to execute him.

When asked why he was strapped and ready to detonate the explosives, he stated, ‘he was compelled.’


Meanwhile, it is unclear whether the suspect is affiliated with the Islamic State of the West African Province, ISWAP, or Boko Haram, but he has been transported to the police for further examination.
