Honourable Isa Dogonyaro, a legislator representing the Babura/Garki Federal Constituency of Jigawa State in the 10th Assembly, has died.
According to Vanguard News, Dogonyaro, who was elected by the All Progressives Congress (APC), died on Friday morning following a brief illness.
Hon Akin Rotimi, the House of Representatives spokesperson, announced his death in a statement in Abuja.
The announcement states, “It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hon. Isa Dogonyaro (Kogunan Ringim), the renowned Member of the Babura/Garki Federal Constituency of Jigawa State in the 10th Assembly of the House of Representatives.
Hon. Dogonyaro died after a brief illness. “Hon. Isa Dogonyaro was a dedicated and passionate legislator who worked tirelessly for his constituency and the nation.
He was a pillar in the House, making important contributions to legislative formulation, particularly in the areas of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria control, where he served as the House Committee’s Deputy Chairman.
Details regarding his burial arrangements will be disclosed in due time.”
