
According to reports, President Bola Tinubu has chosen Wike’s supporter, Emeka Woke, as CEO of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority.
Emeka Woke served as Wike’s Chief of Staff while he was Governor of Rivers State and has recently resigned as Governor Sim Fubara’s Commissioner for Special Projects.

As CEO, Emeka Woke is expected to lead projects targeted at utilising the region’s water resources for agricultural, industrial, and environmental reasons, as well as maintaining sustainable water management methods.
Tinubu’s choice to pick Woke is interpreted as a strengthening of the president’s political partnership with Wike.
Meanwhile, Wike is currently at odds with his successor and current governor of Rivers state, Sim Fubara.
