The House of Representatives has decided to scrutinise the procurement procedure for the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway.
This followed the acceptance of Austine Achado’s (APC, Benue) motion of urgent national importance during plenary on Thursday.
Moving the motion, Achado said that the contract award violated due process and did not receive permission from the National Assembly. However, in its resolution, the House referred the subject to its procurement and works committees.
