
According to his family, late Nollywood actor John Paul Odonwodo will be laid to rest on Friday, March 17.
Recall that on April 10, while returning from a film shoot, the actor and four other actors perished in the Anam River in Anambra State when their boat overturned. Just seven of the twelve people who boarded the unfortunate boat—among them Mr. Odonwodo—were recovered alive.
Mr Odonwodo’s burial arrangements began on 23 April with a requiem mass at Saint John-Mary Vianney Parish, Asaba, Delta State, his family announced via the actor’s burial poster.
According to the burial announcement on the poster which was signed by Divine Odonwodo on behalf of the family, another requiem mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Parish, G.R.A, Enugu on 13 May.
An evening of candlelight and tributes will take place at the Amadeo Event Centre in Enugu on May 14 starting at 5 p.m. At his rural residence in Uwala Abaka, Ukehe, a hamlet in the state’s Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area, a wake is scheduled on May 16.
