Amidst a gathering of local dignitaries, community leaders, and enthusiastic supporters, the Governor’s wife expressed her commitment to championing the mission of the foundation, which aims to uplift and empower vulnerable women and children and the physically challenged across the Northern Senatorial District.
Addressing the attendees, Rev. Mrs Eyoanwan Bassey Otu praised the vision of Hadiza Musa Ujah, the founder of the foundation, for her dedication to improving the lives of marginalized individuals in the community. She emphasized the importance of collaboration and solidarity in tackling the challenges faced by women and children, particularly those living in underserved areas.”I am deeply inspired by the noble cause championed by Hadiza Musa Ujah and her foundation,” Mrs Bassey Otu who was adequately represented by an amiable physician, Dr Inyang Asibong remarked that, “as the Governor’s wife, I am committed to leveraging my platform and resources to support and mentor the foundation in its endeavors to provide education, healthcare, and socio-economic opportunities to those in need.
The ceremony was attended by Chief Patrick Odo, a nonagenarian who served Cross River State as commissioner under three successive military government. Also in attendance were Hon. John Wodah Oko, former Vice Chairman, Yala Local Government Area, who served as chairman of the occasion, Engr. Sylvester Odey, former head of works in the local government service, Hon. Sunday Ebeku, Director General, RUWATSA , Hon. Solomon Ogar, Chapter Chairman, All Progressives Congress Yala, Hon. Stephen Ogbaji, former Leader, Yala Legislative Council, Hon.
