Hon. Godwin Offiono, Member of the Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency, has congratulated Hon. Martins Achadu PhD on his victory in Saturday’s rerun election in 13 PUs within the Yala II State Constituency.
The lawmaker who served as election supervisor coordinated the Party’s activities by leading party faithfuls and the candidate to some of the participating Polling Units, where they met with stakeholders, traditional rulers, and supporters to reassure them of the party’s commitment to maintaining the momentum of good governance for the people. He also ensured that the correct things were done without bias, encouraging electoral officers and security personnel to remain neutral and enable the people to make their own decisions.
Hon. Godwin Offiono arrived in Yala and proceeded to Ukelle for project commissioning and inspection, followed by a strategic meeting at the residence of Senator Jarigbe of Cross River North, before proceeding to Ijiraga and Yahe in Yala LGA for further engagements.
The legislator praised the residents of Yala II State Constituency (Ukelle) for their unwavering support, dedication, and loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He praised their participation in the election and insistence on a free, fair, and credible poll. The MP also praised Senator Jarigbe Agom of Cross River North for his commendable support. He also praised party members, stakeholders, and traditional rulers for their steadfastness and commitment, which culminated in Hon. Achadu’s victory, and promised to stand with him to ensure service delivery to the people.
The MP noted that the people of Ukelle hold a particular place in his heart, as does his resolve to bringing democratic dividends to the state constituency and other parts of the Federal Constituency, which he has begun, God willing.
