For an organization or institution to achieve set goals and objectives, motivation is essential in propelling its workforce for improved productivity.
To this end, the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, Bekwarra Local Government Area has honoured the Head of Local of Local Government Administration , Mrs Angela Ugbut-Agboje, with an exceptional recognition and award of excellence on the anniversary of her birthday.
According to the Chairman of NULGE in Bekwarra Local Government Area, Mr Michael Imogbor, the honour was in recognition of her selfless service as HOLGA in Bekwarra thus far.
Mr Imogbor who described the award as deserving, said NULGE will continue to support the HOLGA in achieving desired results at the local government system, urging her to sustain the good work that earned her the recognition.
“You are really an ICON to celebrate in times like this. Your presence in Bekwarra LGC has changed the scenario we use to see before; your numerous achievements which is visible even to the blind to see.
“On behalf of NULGE and Project Hope Conditional Cash Transfer, I hereby crown you as the ONYIE- IRITIM 1 of Bekwarra. { WOMAN OF GOOD HEART}. Happy birthday Ma. I wish you long life and good health. Bravo to our HOLGA”.
Receiving the award, Mrs Ugbut-Agboje, who thanked Governor Bassey Otu for giving her the opportunity to serve and responding to the needs of people of the area, said the local government workforce was instrumental to all she had achieved.
Mrs Ugbut-Agboje, pledged sustained efforts in achieving more results, even as she enjoined the political class and the local government workforce to synergize in increasing productivity of the local government system.
The political class, technocrats, traditional rulers as well as community leaders in Bekwarra Local Government Area, and beyond, who attended the event eulogized the HOLGA for her sterling achievements.
