Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Akeredolu’s Deputy, shall be inaugurated formally as the incumbent Governor of Ondo State by 4pm, on the 27th of December 2023, being today, at the Ondo State Government House, Akure by The Ondo State Chief Justice, Hon. Justice E.A. Alade.
Earlier today, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu had lost a protracted battle to leukemia in a Lagos hospital.
Lucky Aiyedatiwa is a Nigerian politician who was born on 12 January 1965, he hails from Obe-Nla, an oil producing community in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State. In 2011, he entered active politics as a member of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), which eventually combined with other political organizations to form the All Progressive Congress (APC). He was an Ondo State National Delegate at the 2014 All Progressive Congress (APC) National Convention in Abuja. In the 2015 Presidential and National Assembly General Elections, he ran for the federal House of Representatives for the Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency.
Lucky Aiyedatiwa ones served as a commissioner representing Ondo State at the Niger Delta Development Commission, remember, Ondo State is an oil producing entity.
